Activities

Yugoslav Film Archives is one of the founders and an active member of FIAF (International Federation of Film Archives) since 1951. By maintaining permanent contacts with film libraries throughout the world, Yugoslav Film Archives has managed to enlarge its collection of films, mainly through exchange. Also, it has presented film libraries of Italy, Germany, Israel and Hungary unique prints of films produced in these countries, of which the Yugoslav Film Archives was the sole owner. In 1996, on the occasion of the celebration of 100 years of film, the Yugoslav Film Archives has organized an outstanding exhibition in the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts Gallery, titled "Century of Film". It also initiated publishing of postcards, envelopes and stamps marking the event.
