On the 45th
anniversary, in December 1994, the Belgrade City Assembly allowed the
Yugoslav Film Archives to use the building of the former Federal Patent
Institute, at Uzun Mirkova street no. 1.
This notable historical structure is
located at the oldest part
of Belgrade,
close to the Student's Park. The restoration of the building would partly
solve the preservation problem of some Yugoslav Film Archives collections,
as well as their public presentation. The Yugoslav Film Archives
administration, library, photo and film documentation center, museum of
historical film technical devices, computer and research center and two
cinemas, i.e. the largest part of the institution would be located at one
place. |
